The original Two4One Kitchen & Bar opened at 90 Lower Main Road, Observatory on 1 October 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, and has consistently outperformed the market since. In the street where we trade, established franchise brands have closed while we have continued to grow. The Two4One Kitchen & Bar name is a registered trade mark, and we are now taking the brand national, starting in Gauteng.

Buy any meal and the cheaper item is free. All day, every day. Customers mix and match across the menu, or substitute the second meal for a drink where the venue allows. Wood-fired pizzas, burgers and wings, built around sharing. The offer is not a promotion we run occasionally. It is the business.
The reason people choose us. Wood-fired pizza, burgers and wings.
The margin engine. Draught, spirits and cocktails, competitively priced.
A third stream most venues do not have. Needs a ventilated deck.
Peak trade runs Thursday to Sunday evenings, plus any live sport. A strong events calendar lifts turnover materially. Families come through mainly on weekend daytimes.
THE CENTRAL BAR: BLACK COUNTER, LIT TIMBER SHELVING AND MURAL WALL
SIDE LOUNGE: 241 MURAL AND FOLIAGE WALL
OPEN FRONTAGE AND ILLUMINATED SIGNAGE AT NIGHT
Core customers are 20 to 35, with a strong following among young professionals and students. Families are a secondary market, mainly on weekend daytimes. Typical spend is R180 to R280 per head.
Gauteng has the density, the disposable income, the sporting culture and the evening economy the concept needs. Target nodes include Hazelwood, Menlyn Maine, Bedfordview, Fourways, Bryanston, Waterfall, Centurion and selected East Rand locations.
Thereafter we will look at Umhlanga, Ballito, Stellenbosch, Claremont, Somerset West, Walmer, Bloemfontein, Mbombela and Potchefstroom.
We avoid enclosed malls and food courts. Trading hours are restricted, there is no evening economy and the atmosphere cannot be built. Atmosphere is one of the brand's greatest strengths and we will not compromise it to fill a site.
We plan to open one to two new venues a year, franchised and company-owned, building towards about ten venues in the first phase, mainly in Gauteng and then in large towns across South Africa. We are not chasing store count. We would rather build a network of profitable, respected venues than a large one that struggles.
